A Journey Through Time

The story of the Raritan River Valley and the role of transportation in shaping American life.

Mission Statement

The Museum’s mission is to interpret the development of the Raritan River Valley from prehistoric time to the present, utilizing transportation as the connecting theme. The structure itself typifies the socioeconomic mores of the American experience and the collection provides a microcosm of impacts attributed to modes of travel on American history.
